What about confidentiality?
The CAIP lab takes confidentiality very seriously. Our team will make every effort to protect the rights and personal information of all participants. We also take strict precautions in protecting your data and making sure that it is kept secure. Participation in any of our studies is completely voluntary. All participants have the right to change their mind and opt to cease participation in the study at any time. When can I visit? The CAIP lab is very flexible with scheduling your visit. We offer appointments all throughout the week at all times of the day as well as weekend morning and afternoon appointments. We will try to the best of our ability to accommodate to your and your child's availability. What should I bring? The only information you should bring is you and your child's social security information. The CAIP lab will provide any materials you will need during your visit. The lab could be cold at times, so we suggest you to bring a light jacket. I have other children, can I bring them? We would prefer that you not bring other children so that our team can work with you. However, if you are unable to make other arrangements and must bring other children, we will try to accommodate them and have a research assistant watch them. If you know in advance that you plan to bring other children, please give us several days advance notice (call our Project Coordinator at 301-405-4264). What should I do if I have to cancel an appointment? If you must cancel your appointment with CAIP please contact us at 301-405-4264, as soon as possible. We would be happy to reschedule your appointment at a time that works better for you and your child. How do I get to CAIP? Please visit our "Directions to CAIP" page for maps and detailed directions on how to get to CAIP. Here you will also find information regarding parking. Parking is FREE in a variety of locations on campus on weekdays after 4:00 pm as well as all hours of the weekends.
